Kia Soul'ster concept
The Soulster gives off the fun, beach vibe--losing the rear doors and rear roof section from the four-door Soul. Up front, the standard-issue headlamps are replaced with some arty light-emitting-diode units.
Vehicle type: Coupe concept
Powertrain: 1.6-liter, 120-hp 4-cylinder or 2.0-liter, 140-hp 4-cylinder and 4-speed automatic or 5-speed manual
Who designed it: Tom Kearns
What's cool: Two-piece top that opens over the front and rear seats; built-in roll bar; cantilever seats
Will it be built? Probably - but in a toned-down version with more conventional headlights and seats. The underpinnings already are scheduled for production in the upcoming Soul.
