GM's Barra's hope for the Volt

Mary Barra became GM's product-development chief in early 2011. This year, she took on added duties as board member of the automaker's ailing Opel unit. On March 14, she discussed GM's efforts to reduce its number of global vehicle platforms. She also addressed hybrids, diesels and the Chevy Volt.
