Sweden's SKF opens bearing factory in China

JINAN, China -- SKF, a Swedish producer of bearings, seals and lubrication systems, officially opened a factory in Jinan in east China's Shandong province.

The plant produces roller bearings and hubs for China's truck market.

The company invested 69.5 million euros (570 million yuan) in the facility, which employs 500 workers.

SKF, which is headquartered in Gothenburg, Sweden, generated sales of 64 billion yuan last year. The company has 46,000 global employees.
