• Tamara Darvish, vice president of DARCARS Automotive Group in Silver Spring, Md., will receive the James L. Eichberg Lifetime Achievement Award from the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. Darvish has been involved with the National Capital Area Chapter of the society for more than 10 years, has been a volunteer and has helped many families of patients. Also, as co-chairman of the annual Bobby Mitchell Hall of Fame Golf Classic, she has helped raise more than $5 million for the organization. Darvish will be presented with the award at the 2013 Leukemia Ball on March 23 at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center in Washington.
