Past winners of the Automotive News Europe Rising Star award say that since being named they have enjoyed increased recognition from inside and outside their companies.

“The award is always mentioned whenever I am introduced as a speaker at events,” said Seat Personnel Director Xavier Ros Hernandez, who was part of the first group of Rising Stars in 2011.

Being named at Rising Star also has provided many of the young executives with new opportunities.

“After the award, I had my first one-on-one our CEO, following an enlarged role inside Lear and a promotion,” said Dennis Henning, who was named a 2012 Rising Star. At the time he was honored, Henning was Lear’s director or logistics and materials Europe for global seating. He says he is currently awaiting word on his official new title with Lear.

Said 2012 winner Cathy O'Callaghan, who is a controller for product development at Ford of Europe: “I would definitely recommend nominating to others.”
