AvtoVAZ appoints ex-GM executive Andersson as first non-Russian chief

Andersson's mission will be to achieve a 40% combined market share in Russia for AvtoVAZ, Renault and Nissan.

PARIS (Bloomberg) -- AvtoVAZ has appointed Bo Andersson, a former top purchasing manager at General Motors Co., as CEO. He is the first non-Russian to lead the maker of Lada cars as it deepens ties with the Renault-Nissan alliance.
