Audi reveals new A7/S7 with sharper looks, revised powertrains

Audi has revealed the redesigned A7 and S7 fastback sedans, with both cars receiving a sharper look all around and a revised powertrain lineup.

The coupe-like A7/S7 now has a single-frame grille, new bumpers, tailpipes and standard LED headlights. New Matrix LEDs are optional.

Inside, the new A7 delivers 535 liters of cargo space with the rear seats up, and 1390 liters when they're folded down, Audi said in a statement.

Inside the car, the automaker has introduced new materials including aluminum, walnut wood and Valcona leather.

There are four different seats to choose from: At the top of the line are those that are heated, ventilated and provide massages.

Audi's MMI modular infotainment system with navigation is standard, while a heads-up display and a premium audio system are optional.

The S7 gets Audi's 4.0-liter turbo V-8 engine with cylinder-on-demand.

In European markets, the A7 will be offered with a choice of two gasoline and three diesel engines. Power ranges from 218hp to 333hp. The S7 gets Audi's 4.0-liter turbo V-8 engine, making 450hp with cylinder-on-demand, which cuts out four pots when applicable.

Audi Drive Select, which allows the driver to configure the car for different driving modes, is standard. Dynamic steering, two sport suspension setups and an adaptive air suspension are all optional.

The new A7 and S7 go on sale in Europe later this summer. Audi has priced the A7 at 51,300 euros and the S7 at 82,300 euros.
