IAC promotes veteran exec to head European commercial operations
Nyman was previously IAC's head of manufacturing engineering and strategy.
FRANKFURT -- Luxembourg-based supplier International Automotive Components (IAC) has promoted Marcus Nyman to senior vice president of commercial operations for the European region.
In addition to this role, Nyman will also oversee the company's business development and management unit and the supplier's program management group, IAC said in a statement.
The 43-year-old executive will report to IAC President and CEO Jim Kamsickas.
In a career at IAC spanning nearly 20 years, Nyman, a Swedish national, has held a number of senior executive roles including chief of operations in both Sweden and the UK and, most recently, as company head of manufacturing engineering and strategy.
IAC produces headliners, instrument panels, consoles and door panels in 81 factories in 19 countries worldwide.
The company ranks No. 45 on the Automotive News Europe list of the top 100 global suppliers with worldwide automotive parts sales of $4.7 billion in 2012. The supplier generated 43 percent of its sales in Europe.
