Germany considers measures to promote electric cars, report says

Germany aims to have 1 million electric cars such as the BMW i3 on its roads by 2020.

BERLIN (Reuters) -- Germany's Transport Minister, Alexander Dobrindt, is considering additional measures to support electric vehicles, a German newspaper reported on Thursday, as the Volkswagen diesel emissions scandal ignites a debate over how to popularize EVs.
