Aston Martin may axe 600 jobs in cost-cutting drive

Aston Martin may cut as many as 600 jobs, the British sports car brand said today. The possible cuts of 300 full-time jobs along with “a similar number” of temporary positions are part of a discussion between the former Ford Motor subsidiary and its trade union. U.S. auto sales likely fell 25% again in November

Automakers may again report a U.S. sales decline of at least 25 percent for November as tight credit and concerns about the Detroit 3's survival kept demand at the lowest levels in a quarter century. The drop will be the industry's in the past 18 months.
