    Hyundai Kona Electric

    The Hyundai Kona Electric will be offered with two different battery options when the subcompact crossover goes on sale at the end of the second quarter with European deliveries starting in July. The automaker launched a gasoline-powered Kona late last year. The top-performing Kona EV will have a 64-kilowatt-hour lithium ion polymer battery that provides a single-charge range of 470km. The base Kona EV has a 39.2-kilowatt-hour battery and a 300km range, Hyundai says. The electric Kona has a different front grille compared with its gas-powered siblings. Go to the Gallery »

    2019 Hyundai Santa Fe

    Hyundai has redesigned the Sante Fe for the 2019 model year and will expand the brand's best-selling light truck's powerplant offerings, including a diesel. The diesel Santa Fe houses a 2.2-liter CRDi turbodiesel engine that churns out nearly 200 hp. Other options include a 2.4-liter inline 185-hp four-cylinder GDI engine, and the turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine with an estimated 232 hp. Each engine is matched with the brand's new eight-speed automatic transmission. The gasoline version will arrive in U.S. showrooms in August, while the diesel variant is due in 2019. The five-passenger Santa Fe Sport will now be called Santa Fe. The three-row, seven-passenger model will be renamed the Santa Fe XL. Go to the Gallery »

    Building off the redesigned 2019 Mercedes-Benz G class that was unveiled last month in Detroit, the German automaker will be bringing the AMG variant to the Geneva show in March. The Mercedes-AMG G63 is powered by a 4.0-liter biturbo V-8 engine, good for 577 hp and a 9-speed automatic transmission. AMG-exclusive details include an AMG-specific radiator grille and AMG bumper with large side air inlets, Mercedes says. There's also a flared front and rear wheel arches and standard metallic paint.
