The 2013 Lincoln MKZ sedan made its world debut on the glitzy New York auto show stage today. The MKZ is the glamorous lead actor in Lincoln's stable, with a redesign that will showcase to the world the future vision of Ford Motor Co.'s last remaining luxury brand.
The Italian car market in March was "horrible," Fiat CEO Sergio Marchionne said, forecasting a further decline for 2012 car sales in Italy to 1.5 million units. Marchionne's prediction implies new-car sales in Italy this year will fall a further 15 percent from 1.75 million cars were sold last year.
Ford is devoting one of its largest research labs to the development of hybrid, plug-in hybrid and electric vehicles as part of a focus on fuel-efficiency that has been a centerpiece of its revival since late 2006.
