Jaguar will build its forthcoming I-Pace full-electric crossover with contract manufacturer Magna Steyr in Austria, Jaguar Land Rover CEO Ralf Speth told Automotive News Europe. The British automaker previewed its first electric vehicle at the Los Angeles auto show this week. Sales of the I-Pace will begin in 2018.
Jaguar Land Rover Canada says it will open seven new locations in central and western Canada by 2019, bringing its Canadian retailer network to 32 stores.
Austrian contract manufacturer Magna Steyr will produce six models for four different automakers at a plant in Graz, Austria, starting in 2018, Automobilwoche, a sister publication of Automotive News, reported.
