GM is expanding its Midnight and Dusk editions to the 2018 Colorado ZR2. The Midnight Edition features an all-black exterior, black Chevy bowtie emblems and 17-inch five-spoke black accessory wheels. It also features a black sport bar with off-road LED lighting and ZR2 logos on the sport-bar sail panels. The Dusk Edition offers the same content as the Colorado ZR2 Midnight, but can be purchased in all other ZR2 exterior finishes, with black accents throughout.
Toyota Fine-Comfort Ride conceptOct. 18
The Toyota Fine-Comfort Ride concept is a fuel cell family cruiser and evokes the styling of a boxy stretch version of the C-HR subcompact crossover, with chiseled creases and a pinched rear. The interior has room for six with four La-Z-Boy-like captain’s chairs that swivel for a lounge layout, possibly hinting at autonomous driving capabilities. The windows double as video touch screens.

Buick added some new color options to the Cascada for the 2018 model year, including Rioja Red Metallic, Dark Moon Blue Metallic and Carrageen Metallic. Navigation is now standard and 20-inch twin-spoke black-painted wheels are standard on the 2018 Sport Touring trim.
2018 Mitsubishi Outlander PHEVOct. 17
The 2018 Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV is the first mainstream plug-in hybrid electric vehicle in the midsize crossover segment in the U.S. It starts at $35,535 including shipping before any state or federal tax incentives. Mitsubishi says it will be a low volume model with sales goals of 3,000 to 4,000 a year.

Toyota's Concept i-Ride is a two-seat pod car meant for crowded city streets and envisioned as a personal mobility option for the elderly or handicapped. Its gull-wing doors open wide to allow easy loading and unloading of wheelchairs, and it is driven by a joystick, instead of pedals.

Porsche has begun testing its first all-electric sedan. Spy photographers caught the car undergoing road tests near Porsche’s primary engineering center in Weissach, Germany, complete with fake tailpipes. It is based on the Mission E concept introduced at the 2015 Frankfort auto show. The car will be positioned as a Tesla Model S rival, complete with a battery pack that will reportedly provide a driving range of more than 330 miles. It is said to accelerate from 0-60 in 3.5 seconds, and onto 125 mph in under 12 seconds.
