CRAIOVA, Romania - A parliamentary commission accused Daewoo of breaking promises it made when it took control of AFP, a car manufacturer in Craiova.
Daewoo said 60 percent of the parts used in AFP's plant would be made in Romania. The true figure is 10 percent, claimed the commission.
The commission said Daewoo paid no duties on 20,000 cars imported into Romania because they were considered spare parts.
Daewoo said it needs more time to fulfill its promises.
