BERTONE - Paolo Caccamo has been named president of Carrozzeria Bertone SpA. He replaced Nuccio Bertone, who died on 25 February 1997. Caccamo joined Bertone in 1976 after 12 years with British Leyland and Leyland Innocenti. He will retain his current position of managing director. Finance director Renato Ghigo has been promoted to general manager.
RENAULT - Patrick Blain has been appointed general manager of Renault Italia SpA. He replaces Mario Canavesi, who has been promoted to head Deutsche Renault. Blain, 45, was previously product marketing director. Canavesi, 54, joined Renault in 1969.
TENNECO - Robert Page has been appointed vice-president for operations finance. He was previously chief financial officer at subsidiary Tenneco Packaging.
BMW (GB) LTD. - Paul Willis, 37, has been appointed commercial manager. He replaces Jim O'Donnell who becomes sales and marketing director of BMW (South Africa) (Pty.) Ltd. Willis was previously sales and operation director of Mazda Cars (UK) Ltd. He has also worked at Ford of Britain and Toyota (GB) Ltd.
MAYFLOWER VEHICLE SYSTEMS - Dennis Evans has been appointed sales and marketing director. He replaces Hugh McKenzie, who has left the company to pursue business interests.
RIETER AUTOMOTIVE SYSTEMS - Lars Olov Larsson has been appointed to the newly created post of senior vice-president of worldwide marketing. He was previously president of Perstop Components Group. Rieter makes noise control, interior trim and thermal insulation products. Rieter had 1996 sales of SFr1.2 billion ($800 million).
