Ferrari takes control of Maserati
TURIN - Ferrari SpA has taken over management control of Maserati SpA. In an internal deal, Ferrari bought 50 percent of Maserati stock from Fiat Auto SpA, which owns the remainder. The holding company Fiat SpA owns 90 percent of Ferrari. Maserati will keep its engineering and marketing structure.
Mercedes in Egypt
CAIRO - Mercedes-Benz will assemble 2,500 E class CKD kits a year at its plant in Sixth of October City, Egypt, beginning in November. The new $45 million plant is 72 percent owned by Mercedes's distributor, NATCO. Mercedes owns 26 percent.
