Accountants at the automakers might be sweating over the cost of meeting C02 restrictions, but those at suppliers are smiling.
Siemens, Delphi, Bosch and Valeo all have new products ready to reduce emissions. They include common-rail diesel-injection systems, engine-management systems and improved catalysts.
'Suppliers benefit from technology changes,' said Robert Speed, research director at UK broker Henderson Crosthwaite. 'The worst thing you can do is be a supplier of a component that doesn't change.'
