UT AUTOMOTIVE - Richard Sloan has been promoted to president of UT subsidiary Interior Systems International. He has been replaced as president of UT Automotive's European operations by Volker Heuzeroth, who was previously senior vice president for Europe. Sloan replaces Ed Northern, who has left the company. Sloan joined UT in 1981 from Chrysler. Heuzeroth joined UT in 1993 as managing director for central Europe.
HERBERTS - Michael Gauss, 44, has become marketing manager for the Automotive Systems Division of coatings supplier Herberts GmbH. He succeeds Dieter Engel, 45, who has replaced Bob Moffett as general manager of Herberts Automotive Systems America Inc. Moffett has retired.
HAYES LEMMERZ EUROPE - John Salvette has been named vice president for finance. He will be based in Cologne. Salvette had been corporate treasurer.
GKN - Peter Talbott, 53, will join GKN's Automotive Driveline division as managing director for operations in March. He is currently chief executive of BTR Flow Control Systems.
LEAR CORP. - Nick Ghoussaini has been promoted to president of the KCS division, formerly Keiper Car Seating GmbH & Co. He had been vice president for sales.
LINPAC MOULDINGS - Kevin Clunie has been appointed to the new position of sales executive for the UK vacuum molding company.
MAYFLOWER - Martin Green has been appointed general manager of Mayflower Vehicle Systems GmbH, which will design and manufacture body systems. He will be based in Ruesselsheim, Germany.
GE CAPITAL FLEET SERVICES - Daniel Farrar has been named president and CEO of the European business unit. He was previously senior vice president of North American operations.
FORD AUSTRALIA - Holly Kramer, 33, has been promoted to general manager for marketing. She had been marketing strategy manager.
DRUID - Management consultancy Druid has appointed Chris Smith, 39, as business development manager.
SAE - Ten automotive engineers will be honored as Fellows of the Society of Automotive Engineers this month.
They include: Kathleen Taylor, head of physical chemistry at GM's r&d center in Warren, Michigan: Shizuo Yagi, advisor at Honda R&D Co. in Saitama, Japan; and Robert Schaefer, former design director of mid-size cars at GM.
