BICERI - Former Aston Martin Chairman Victor Gauntlett, 55, has been appointed chairman of the UK-based engine and fuel testing company.
BOSAL - Josef Besting, 42, will join Bosal as European marketing and aftersales director on 1 May. Besting, who will be based in Lummen, Belgium, will continue as chairman of the automotive database company Tecdoc. He is currently managing director of GKN Services.
FORD - Pekka Leander, managing director of Ford's Finnish subsidiary Ford Oy, will move to the Swedish subsidiary Ford Motor Co. AB as managing director. He will be replaced in Finland by marketing director Kaj Dahlman. Heikki Ahdekivi will replace Dahlman. Leander will be in charge of all Ford distributors in Scandinavia and the Baltic states. In addition he has been named chairman of the Finnish, Norwegian and Danish units.
BI GROUP - Duncan McDougall has been named managing director of a new company, BI Composites, formed following BI Group's acquisition of Cortworth plc last year. Mike Birrell is business development director and Len Timmins is operations director. BI Composites makes thermoset and thermoplastic components. Cortworth is unrelated to Cosworth Engineering.
GE - Thomas Bouchard, 37, has replaced Edwin 'Kip' Nickel as general manager of GE Plastics Automotive. Nickel has become director of European commercial operations at GE Plastics' European headquarters in Bergen op Zoom, The Netherlands. Bouchard was previously general manager of GE Plastics Canada.
VOLVO ITALIA - Jan-Martin Borman, 41, has replaced Tommaso Giocoladelli as managing director of Volvo Italia SpA. Borman was previously managing director of Volvo Finland. Giocoladelli, who joined the company one year ago, resigned for personal reasons.
ROVER - Jim MacDonald has replaced Peter Jones as managing director of Rover UK and Eire, effective 1 March. MacDonald was previously director of Rover Financial Services. Jones has left the company to become chief executive of Sanderson Bramall Motor Group.
FEDERAL-MOGUL - Michael Pape has been appointed to the newly created post of vice president and operations controller, effective 16 March. He joins from Tenneco Automotive, where he was controller for the North American aftermarket. Pape will be responsible for worldwide financial planning and forecasting.
UNRAE - Gianni Filipponi, 54, has been named managing director of Italian auto importers' association UNRAE. He replaces Giuseppe Gabriele, who has retired.
