Patrick Le Quement, chief designer and quality boss at Renault, was interviewed by William Diem.
Is the Zo real or play?
You can never answer that question exactly. We like the idea of a three-seat car, and you have to have an open car for three seats.
The Zo was the work of young designers, they listen to techno music, they like Japanese Manga comics. It's more playful.
The concept car we show this fall at Paris is more important, it shows where we are going. It will be very close to the luxury sedan we are making, and to another car I cannot talk about, a luxury car that is in a totally different niche than anything here.
