SEOUL - Ulrich Bez, Daewoo Motor engineering director, is pondering his future.
The job of creating a new range of Daewoo cars is almost complete, and his contract is up for renewal in September.
Bez, who was hired by Daewoo in 1992, said his enthusiasm for the job has not waned. But he is not sure he wants to continue in the same way.
'It would be difficult for me to spend another five years in Seoul,' he said. His family would like him to return to Europe.
German-born Bez, former head of product engineering at Porsche, might move to Munich, where Daewoo has a technical center.
'I spend half my time in Europe anyway,' he said. Munich's main project is a modular aluminum engine range - Bez's pet project.
