BUNDY - Alberto Villarejo has been named business unit director for GM Europe, a new job. He will be responsible for engineering, estimating, sales and program management for Bundy projects in Europe involving GM. He will be based in Germany. Villarejo started his career with Bundy Spain in 1972 as a salesman.
SOFRES INTERSEARCH - Layton Dorey has been named vice president of automotive research at the Detroit-based consultancy. He was previously vice president at NOP Automotive.
MERITOR - Peter Krueger has been promoted to vice president for sales and marketing at Meritor Light Vehicle Systems. He was previously responsible for marketing and business development, and will remain in the company's Frankfurt office. Aziz Aghili has been appointed director of business and market development. Dennis DeVriese has been named Meritor Suspension Systems Co. vice president for sales and marketing.
AMP Global - Nigel Baker has been appointed director of engineering for the automotive division of AMP Global. He was previously responsible for engineering in the European, Middle East and African regions. In his new position he will oversee activities in North and South America and the Asia-Pacific regions.
LOLA - David Bowes has been appointed managing director of Lola Cars International. The appointment of the former Rover executive comes six months after Martin Birrane took control of the ailing race car manufacturer and engineering consultancy.
BENTELER - Thomas Palumbo has been named vice president of sales and marketing. He was previously sales director, responsible for relations with Japanese and South Korean automakers. Benteler supplies tubular, stamped and welded components and tooling and equipment.
DELPHI - Dale Pilger is the new general director of sales, marketing and planning for Delphi Interior & Lighting Systems. He was director of Asia-Pacific operations for Delphi Energy & Management Systems.
PIERBURG - Ottmar Ausser-meier, 44, and Hubert Ansieau, 55, have been appointed to the executive board of pump manufacturer Societe Mosellane de Mechanique, which Pierburg has acquired. Aussermeier is general manager of Pierburg's Spanish subsidiary Carbureibar SA. Ansieau is general manager of Pierburg France.
