GLL - Stephen Bull has joined UK-based supplier Goodman Loudspeakers Ltd. as business development manager for Rover, Jaguar and Peugeot.
NISSAN - Sage Mihara, managing director of Nissan Motor GB, has been appointed vice president of Nissan Europe corporate strategy. Brian Carolin, Nissan's UK marketing director, will replace Mihara. Katsuhide Namiki was named deputy managing director. Changes take effect 1 July.
UNRAE - The association of foreign car importers in Italy, UNRAE, named Rover Italia President Salvatore Pistola, 52, its new chairman. He replaces Walter Walcher.
RECARO - Yoji Komori has been named executive director of sales for seat manufacturer Recaro North America. He previously managed the joint venture Recaro Johnson Controls.
ROVER - David Blume has replaced Peter Woods as president of Rover Japan Ltd. Blume, 47, had been vice president. Woods becomes chairman of Rover Japan, a largely ceremonial post.
MARUTI UDYOG - Suzuki and the government of India resolved a 10-month dispute over leadership of their Maruti Udyog joint venture by naming Suzuki Vice President Yoshio Saito, 62, as chairman. He replaces Prabir Sengupta, who had been named unilaterally by the Indian government. According to reports in Japan, consensus candidate Jagdish Khattar will take over as managing director in 2000 from R.S. Bhaskarudu, who was appointed last August by the Indian government.
OPEL - Eckhard Harnack, 55, has been named director for the development of Opel's Ruesselsheim facilities. He and his team are studying use of existing buildings, and will recommend how areas will be used in the future. Harnack was previously personnel director.
