JAGUAR WILL strengthen its links with Raytheon, the US aircraft maker, after a novel joint venture netted Raytheon over $31 million in sales. Raytheon, of Wichita, Kansas, worked with Jaguar advanced projects stylist Keith Helfet to put car-style ambience into its 286mph Beech King Air C90B plane.
'After launching our Jaguar special edition aircraft at last year's North American international auto show (in Detroit), we sold all 12. Now we're working on further adaptations. We like working with Jaguar,' said Raytheon marketing manager Blair Sullivan.
Raytheon plans to extend the Jaguar style option to other models in its 11 plane range. The $66,000 package includes leather upholstery, walnut cabinetry, boxwood inlays and a green and gold exterior paint job.
