LONDON - The new Bosch VP30 fuel-injection distributor pump makes its debut on the Ford Focus' 1.8-liter Endura DI diesel engine. The VP30 has solenoid control and integrated electronics.
REGENSBURG, Germany - Alfa Romeo has placed an order worth up to DM120 million ($67 million) with Siemens' Automotive Systems Group for vehicle navigation and driver information equipment. Siemens' Integrated Control System will be standard on Alfa's top-of-the-line 166 model.
SOLIHULL, UK - LucasVarity will supply brake systems components for a light commercial van to be produced jointly by Opel and Renault. The vans are scheduled to go into production in 2000 at the GM-Isuzu joint-venture IBC plant in Luton, UK.
LICHFIELD, UK - Norgren will supply Opel with pneumatic equipment for the next-generation Corsa in a deal worth up to DM4 million ($2.3 million).
Norgren will provide Opel plants in Zaragoza, Spain, Eisenach, Germany, and Azambuja, Portugal, with cylinders, valves, air-preparation equipment, fittings and tubing.
