PARIS - Toyota opened a new FF30 million ($5.4 million) showroom on the Champs Elysees in Paris on 1 October.
The 1,000-square-meter showroom, 'Rendez-vous Toyota,' will not just sell cars. The development also includes a restaurant, Internet cafe area and art exhibition space.
Only three to four models will be shown, including one Lexus, although there will be multimedia presentations of the entire Toyota range.
'We want to attract new customers, more young people and more women,' said Eric Le Paire, showroom manager.
'But first we want to get to know our customers better and strengthen Toyota's image as a company, not just as a car brand.'
Yoshini Inaba, senior vice president for Toyota Motor Corp., and Juan Jose Diaz Ruiz, executive vice president for Toyota Motor Europe, inaugurated the showroom.
