AUDI - Skoda UK director Dermot Kelly, 45, is the new director of sister company Audi UK. The appointment is effective 1 January. He replaces Len Hunt, who has moved to Audi of America. Rob Tracey, 47, the former finance director at Skoda UK, replaces Kelly as director.
DANA - Chairman Southwood Morcott has been named 1998 Automotive Industry Leader by the Automotive Hall of Fame education and entertainment center in Dearborn, Michigan, USA. Morcott has been Dana chairman since 1990, during which time sales have more than doubled to $12 billion, a compound growth rate of 12.3 percent per year.
OPEL - Massimo Berni, previously Opel Italia managing director, has become Opel's executive director for sales, marketing and aftersales for southern Europe. He is responsible for Italy, Spain, Portugal and Greece. Sandro Malatto, Opel Italia sales director since 1993, takes up Berni's former position.
BUNDY - Bundy Group has appointed Patrick Bontemps to the new post of director of automotive air conditioning for Europe. Bontemps joined Bundy in 1992 and was director of the firm's PSA account in France before becoming director of Bundy's China programs.
Bundy Latin America has named Marco Antonio Buck operations director and Marcio Caetano commercial director for automotive operations. Caetano has held a number of product development and sales positions at the TI Group subsidiary since he joined the company in 1990. Buck was previously production manager.
TI GROUP - John Langston, 48, has been appointed chief executive of Forsheda, TI Group's elastomer seals business. He was previously chief executive of Bundy Automotive. He was also named a director of TI Group. Langston will be replaced at Bundy on 1 December by Allan Welsh, 47, who is currently chief executive of T&N Piston Products Group. Welsh is expected to join the TI Group board early next year.
DUERR - Gerry Kehoe, 47, has become business development director of Duerr EcoService, the newly formed subsidiary of paint shop systems supplier Duerr UK.
VALEO - Philippe Guillemot, 39, has been appointed co-vice president of Valeo Climate Control, working alongside Francis Hoyer. He was previously vice president and member of the executive committee of Michelin Group. Kim Derderian, 41, has joined Valeo's corporate communications department in the new post of head of international relations. She was previously Peugeot's European product advertising manager, based in Paris.
TELE ATLAS - Tetsuo Sato will head Tele Atlas' new Japanese representation office. Tele Atlas complies digital maps for the European in-car navigation market. Sato will be responsible for extending relations with Japanese automotive and consumer electronics manufacturers.
MAYFLOWER - David Cardwell, 37, has become sales and marketing director of Mayflower Vehicle Systems. He will oversee the company's expansion in central Europe and the UK. He was previously commercial director of UK-based Wagon Industrial Holdings' automotive division.
