Two key players in the Renault-Nissan merger will speak at the Automotive News Europe Congress on 21-22 June in Berlin.
Carlos Ghosn, the high-energy Renault operations chief who will soon become Nissan's No. 2 executive, will speak on 22 June.
Earlier in the day, Ian Gibson, Nissan Europe's new president (see Page 4), will speak.
Ghosn will direct day-to-day operations at Nissan following Renault's acquisition of a 36.8 percent stake in the Japanese company.
He has been the central figure in Renault's turnaround.
At the Congress he will focus on Renault's drive to cut costs and raise manufacturing efficiency.
Gibson has overseen Nissan's Sunderland, England, factory since the mid-1980s.
The plant has been named Europe's most efficient in an independent study.
Consultant AT Kearney is co-sponsor of the Congress.
