PARIS - Seat President Pierre-Alain De Smedt will replace Carlos Ghosn as executive vice president of Renault.
Ghosn took over as Nissan chief operating officer last month after leading Renault's turnaround.
De Smedt, 55, spent 24 years with the Volkswagen Group. He has been chief executive of Seat since December 1996. At Renault, his responsibilities will include r&d, engineering, manufacturing, purchasing and powertrain.
