TURIN - Pininfarina will unveil a city car to rival DaimlerChrysler's Smart at this autumn's Frankfurt auto show. Called Metrocubo, meaning cubic meter in Italian, the Pininfarina concept is less than 3 meters long and about 1.75 meters wide. It accommodates up to five passengers, with three in the front and two in the rear.
Every seat - bar the driver's - can be removed or packed away. Powered with a hybrid engine and offering a range of 400 kilometers, Metrocubo uses Michelin's PAX tire system which eliminates the need for a spare tire.
