STUTTGART - Porsche is the first carmaker to offer unified pretax prices across its model range.
Porsche will charge the same prices for its cars in five European countries. The 911 and Boxster will be offered at common euro prices in Germany, France, Italy, Spain and Portugal starting this month. Porsche owns its distribution networks in those countries.
Porsche said the prices are non-binding recommendations and do not include local taxes.
Porsche will recommend the fixed prices to importers within the 11-member euro zone.
In addition to setting common prices, it has also ended differences in equipment across Europe.
The Boxster is listed for euro 35,610 and the Boxster S for euro 41,830. The 911 Carrera costs euro 61,500, the Carrera 4 is euro 66,380 and its two cabriolets euro 69,790 and euro 74,670 respectively.
