Delphi Automotive Systems has transferred Rover customer director responsibilities from the UK to Germany.
The company said the decision was made in response to the increased coordination of Rover and BMW engineering activities.
Manfred Diedrich, Delphi's customer director for BMW, based in Germany, will take on Rover duties in a new combined role. Martin Green becomes regional customer manager for Rover, based in Coventry, England.
In another move, Paul Fleming has been promoted to sales and marketing director for Delphi Interior Systems (European Region) and customer director for Ford of Europe. He was previously UK country director for Delphi Automotive Systems.
Jeff Parsons will now take responsibility for the coordination of Delphi's six UK facilities. He will also continue as UK finance director.
'Paul Fleming helped to develop a number of successful projects that have given Delphi strong foundations for future growth (in the UK),' said Parsons.
Among those projects was the Supply In Line Sequence Center at GM's Vauxhall plant in Ellesmere Port, northeast England.
'We feel that there are more opportunities for such facilities in the UK,' said Parsons.
