Andy Goss has left his post as sales director of Toyota (GB) plc, sparking a major upheaval in the company's sales and marketing divisions.
Marketing director Mike Moran will take responsibility for all Toyota's sales and marketing activities in the UK under the newly-created position of commercial director.
Moran has had previous experience coordinating both sales and marketing working for Ford in Spain. He will report to managing director Graham Smith.
Paul Philpott moves from the position of general manager, vehicle marketing, to marketing director. Philpott, who will report to Moran, joined Toyota from Ford two years ago. The company is also expected to appoint a new sales director shortly.
Goss, meanwhile, will become managing director of Porsche Cars Great Britain Ltd. During his time at Toyota, he oversaw a two-fold increase in UK vehicle-sales volumes.
Goss was also instrumental in establishing the UK as Lexus' second-largest market outside of the USA.
In a parallel move, Stuart McCullough, currently general manager, Lexus (GB) Ltd., has been promoted to the new position of director. He will responsible for the sales and marketing of Lexus in the UK.
McCullough joined Lexus in July last year as sales operations manager, and was later appointed general manager. He is a former director of Lind, the UK luxury-car retail group.
