The heads of General Motors and Ford Motor Co.'s key operations in Europe will speak at the Automotive News Europe Congress on June 19 and 20 in Montreux, Switzerland.
Nick Scheele, president of Ford of Europe, and Robert Hendry, Chairman of GM's Adam Opel AG subsidiary, will both speak on June 20 at the Montreux Palace Hotel.
Scheele was named head of Ford of Europe last year after seven years leading the turnaround of Jaguar Cars in the UK. At Ford of Europe in Cologne, Germany, Scheele has another turnaround to complete: ending the decline of Ford's market share in the region
Hendry joined Opel early last year, while retaining his duties as chief executive of GM's Saab Automobile subsidiary.
He is leading a drive to re-establish the Opel brand in Europe after doing much to strengthen Saab's brand identity since taking over in Sweden in 1996.
AT Kearney, the management consultancy, is a partner in the Automotive News Europe Congress.
