'Our first concern would be the environment. The plant would use hydrosoluble paints. It would use only a small stamping shop for outside parts. We'd keep body making, painting and assembly operations in-house. The plant would be supplied with a lot of integrated modules, directly delivered to the assembly line. It would take 2,500 people to make 1,000 cars per day.'
'In my view, if we had to build a new European plant, it would not be in France, but very likely somewhere in Central or eastern Europe.'
