Renault and Nissan will use limited cross-badging to fill gaps in their respective product lineups.
Nissan will adapt and badge Renault light commercial vehicles, like Kangoo, Master and probably the 2001 Trafic that Renault is developing with General Motors.
Renault will likely badge a restyled version of the Nissan Terrano that is due to appear in 2001. The Terrano is preferred over the US-built XTerra, mainly because of the dollar's strength against the euro. It would also provide extra volume for Nissan's Barcelona plant, which makes the Terrano.
Renault currently offers no truck-based four-wheel drive model, a segment that is expected to grow in Europe.
