Herbert Demel, the Brazil-based head of Volkswagen's large South American operations, has joined the list of speakers at the Automotive News Europe Congress on June 19 and 20 in Montreux, Switzerland.
Demel, who took over for VW in Brazil in late 1996, was president of Audi from 1994 to 1996. He will speak at the Congress on Tuesday, June 20.
The two-day event will be held at the Montreux Palace Hotel. A gala dinner on the night of June 19 will feature three speakers: General Motors President Richard Wagoner, PSA/Peugeot-Citroen Chairman Jean-Martin Folz, and Wolfgang Reitzle, chairman of Ford's Premier Automotive Group.
