LONDON - Chairman Wolfgang Reitzle has quietly assembled a youthful, multinational executive team to help him run Ford's Premier Automotive Group.
The team will wield a major influence over the luxury-car group's brands: Jaguar, Volvo, Aston Martin, Lincoln - and now Land Rover.
Premier was conceived as a 'virtual organization' and presently has fewer than 20 staff members. But their authority will be considerable - particularly in core areas such as product development, purchasing, finance, marketing, and brand development and differentiation.
Members of Premier's team include:
Bill Cosgrove, 54, US, CFO and chief of staff. Engineered Ford's acquisitions of Volvo and Land Rover.
Anders Franzen, 39, Swedish, director of product and technical planning. Formerly an engineer with Volvo.
Kristina Hammer, 30, German, marketing/brand initiatives. Wasmanager of Vienna department store.
Alexander Klose, 38, German, director of brand and distribution development. Was with BMW and Boston Consulting.
Paul MacNiven, 35, US, financial controller. Held various Ford jobs.
Stefan Muller, 39, German. Director of brand and distribution development. 13 years in BMW sales and marketing.
Henrik Rasmussen, 43, Danish. Marketing and sales strategy. Came from Volvo.
Ulrich Schiefer, 41, German. Director of product and technical planning. 14 years at BMW.
John Schneider, 36, US. Manager product and technical planning. Ford veteran.
