BERLIN - With no end in sight for high fuel prices in Germany, Volkswagen has unveiled a print campaign promoting the low fuel consumption of its cars. Created by DDB Worldwide, Berlin, the headline of a two-page advertisement says: 'The best ways against high fuel prices.'
The advertisement explains that Volkswagen is the only carmaker in Germany to offer a 'three-liter' car - a Lupo that can travel 100km on three liters of fuel.
Also promoted as fuel-savers are the Polo, New Beetle, Bora, Passat, Sharan and Golf. The advertisements appeared as thousands of German truckers blocked Berlin with a 10km-long protest convoy against the government's high energy taxes.
