Francois Dembin, Citroen director of international affairs, southeast Pacific region
How is Citroen faring across the region?
We had big operations in Malaysia under an agreement with Proton. But this process has been ended and not renewed. At the moment we are most successful in Singapore.
How is business in Australia?
In Australia we are very small but expanding. When you are very small, you have a 'chicken and egg' situation. You have to expand but in order to expand you need a better network. But to get that you have to show bigger sales figures. That has been the situation for us in Australia for some years. But we hope to sell 1,400 cars in Australia this year, which will be a record for us. So we are growing unobtrusively.
