Guy J.M. Demuynck, took over as CEO of Dutch-based automotive importer and retailer Kroymans on March 1. He replaced Ton van Soest, who left the company.
Demuynck also is chairman of Kroymans's board of directors, which is responsible for the day-to-day running of the company.
Demuynck worked for Philips from 1976 to 2002, a career that culminated with him becoming a member of Philips's group management committee with overall responsibility for its consumer electronics division. He then joined KPN, a Dutch telecommunications company, where he was responsible for its mobile telephone division.
Demuynck has a deep passion for tennis. Although it sounds funny, he says that competing on the court is one way he likes to relax. The 55-year-old Belgian has passed on his love of the game to his teenage son, Vincent, who teamed up with his dad to win a tournament earlier this year.
