DaimlerChrysler's Chrysler group plans to start building a mid-sized sedan, minivan and Jeep model within the next three years in China for the Chinese market.
Chrysler also aims to triple its current Chinese volume and double its dealer base over the same period, said Tom LaSorda, Chrysler group CEO.
Chrysler wants more than 100,000 units sales by 2009 and 100 dealers.
"We need product here and we will have it," LaSorda said.
Chrysler is already building the 300C sedan in China at a facility on the outskirts of Beijing.
