Robert Bosch GmbH supplies its latest-generation ABS along with electronic brakeforce distribution (EBD) and emergency brake assist (EBA) to the Dacia Sandero. This is the first time the German supplier has delivered emergency brake assist to a model made by Renault's Romanian subsidiary.
Calsonic Kansei Europe is the sole radiator supplier to the five-door hatchback, delivering three radiator variants to cover the Sandero's two gasoline and two diesel engines. The company also delivers the charge air coolers for all diesel engine variants. Calsonic Kansei built a manufacturing plant in Ploiesti, Romania, to be closer to the Dacia's assembly plant in Pitesti, which is about 80km east.
BASF Group's waterborne basecoat technology is used to coat the Logan and Sandero models. Unlike solvent-borne basecoats, most of the organic solvents are replaced with water, thereby reducing pollution due to solvent emissions. With these programs, BASF introduced waterborne basecoats to Romania.
The Sandero is built on the same platform as the larger Logan four-door sedan.
Prices in the French market start at 7,800 euros.
