WEITERSTADT - Volkswagen AG's Czech subsidiary, Skoda, is expanding its dealer network in Germany.
The brand aims to have 600 dealers in Europe's biggest market in the mid-term, said Skoda Germany CEO Hermann Schmitt.
Last year, Skoda added 35 new dealers in Germany, bringing its total to 555.
More than half of the brand's dealers in Germany sell only Skoda cars, with the level of exclusivity rising to 70 percent in the former East Germany.
In 2009, Skoda sold 190, 717 new cars in Germany, giving it a 5 percent market share.
