PARIS (Reuters) -- Plastic Omnium said it expected a slight increase in 2010 sales as it reported full-year operating margin up to 4.2 percent of sales against 2.6 percent in 22008.
The French automotive parts supplier returned to a net profit of 31 million euros ($42.75 million) from a loss of 63.2 million while sales slipped to 2.5 billion from 2.7 billion.
In January, the group reported a 16.8 percent rise in fourth-quarter sales and raised its operating margin outlook for 2009, citing a strong increase in sales and production volumes at the end of year as well as savings it had made.
A spokesman said at the time that the group's 2009 operating profit should exceed 85 million euros, compared with 70.7 million euros in 2008. It came out at 102.1 million for 2009.
