Hong Kong-born Anthony Lo has moved from General Motors Co. to become head of exterior design at Renault.
Lo, 46, was advanced design director for GM's Opel and Saab brands for six years before taking the post at Renault. He started April 1.
Lo began his automotive career at Lotus Cars in the UK in 1987 after obtaining a master's degree in automotive design at the Royal College of Art in London. Lo moved to Audi in 1990, before joining Mercedes-Benz design studio in Japan. In 2000, he was put in charge of advanced design at Saab in Sweden before taking the same role for Opel and Saab in 2004.
In his new job, Lo reports to Renault design chief Laurens van den Acker.
