Porsche AG has appointed five high-ranking Volkswagen AG executives to its supervisory board.
VW CEO Martin Winterkorn and the company's finance chief Hans Dieter Poetsch were among the five who are now part of a board enlarged to 20 members from 16. VW purchasing chief Francisco Javier Garcia Sanz, sales boss Christian Klingler and personnel head Horst Neumann are VW's other three board appointees.
Wolfgang Porsche remains board chairman and Porsche union boss Uwe Hueck stays as vice chairman. VW Chairman Ferdinand Piech already sits on the board as a representative of the Porsche-Piech family of controlling shareholders.
The board comprises 10 representatives of the capital side and 10 labor representatives.
VW owns 49 percent of Porsche and plans to integrate the sports car maker as its 10th brand in the next 12 months.
