DETROIT -- Former General Motors Co. executive Richard M. Donnelly has been named chairman of the board at heavy-duty vehicle maker Oshkosh Corp.
Donnelly, 67, will assume the position on Feb. 1, 2011, the company said in a statement.
He succeeds Robert Bohn, 56, who is retiring as CEO on Dec. 31. Current President Charlie Szews, 53, will succeed Bohn as CEO, the company said.
Donnelly held several positions during a 38-year career at GM, including president of GM Europe. He left GM in 1999 and became a partner at private equity firm Ripplewood Holdings LLC. He joined the Oshkosh board in 2001.
