Italian design house Bertone will show a sporty sedan concept created for Jaguar at the Geneva auto show next month.
The B 99 concept previews a sedan that could become a new entry-level Jaguar, succeeding the Ford Mondeo-based X-Type that was discontinued in 2009.
Mike Robinson, Bertone's chief designer, said the B 99 was made by Bertone in agreement with Jaguar as a view to a possible X-Type replacement.
The B 99 is about the same length as a Mercedes-Benz C class at 4500mm long but is almost 2000mm wide to offer a roomy interior.
The concept is likely to be shown with a hybrid powertrain.
